2012.05.29 Catherine and Tara Jane O'Neil play in Louisville. CBZ wrote: "My wife and I and one of our friends got to see Catherine perform some of the "Little Heater" songs, and some of the "Cut Yourself a Switch" songs and even a couple of Freakwater tunes this past Sunday at "a cave in Louisville" that turned out to be a door in a wall next to where a sidewalk used to be, known only to those who know, as "The Workhouse Ballroom". It was like a treasure hunt trying to follow the clues since we drove up from Knoxville, but we took a chance, and we're sure glad we did. The place was "as dark as a dungeon and damp as a tomb", and was pretty perfect for a Catherine Irwin gig. There was no rapture (look at the attached poster), but she and TJO brought us damn close..."
2012.06.05 Kelly Hogan releases her first record in eleven years, I Like to Keep Myself in Pain. It features Catherine Irwin's "Dusty Groove" as its lead-off track, as well as songs by friends Robin Hitchcock, Andrew Bird, Vic Chestnutt, and M. Ward.
